How this Wexford farmer is making up for a difficult autumn

A limited quantity of winter crops were drilled on the farm in the autumn, with losses on those that were drilled. This has disrupted rotation plans and will reduce profitability in 2024.

I decided not to drill winter wheat in January due to soils being heavy in nature, with limited potential to drill into appropriate seedbeds.
