The Ulster Farmers’ Union has branded a Stormont proposal to ban fertiliser containing phosphorous as “irresponsible”.
It comes after the Belfast Telegraph revealed the suggestion is one of seven recommendations from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to protect Lough Neagh from further damage.
