Spring 2024 has been confirmed as the wettest on record by Met Éireann, the fifth consecutive season with above average rainfall.

It was also the warmest spring on record, with record-high sea surface temperatures across the North Atlantic, helping to boost the average temperatures and moisture content in the atmosphere.
