Organised criminal gangs ‘targeting’ farms – €100,000 of equipment stolen in three days
The IFA has called for a dedicated Garda Rural Safety Unit following the theft of €100k worth of agricultural equipment in three days
An organised criminal gang is targeting farms in Dublin and Wexford, according to the IFA, who say over the last three days six GPS systems with an estimated value of up to €100k were stolen from farms.
According to IFA, one man was arrested in North Dublin and was brought before court on a charge of attempted theft. He pleaded guilty and was remanded in custody for sentencing.
