Land sales review: Farmers defy declining profits to dominate land market in North Leinster
14 of 51 properties sold in region made more than €1m
Springvalley farm, a dairy holding on 145ac at Summerhill in Co Meath, at €2.875m made the highest price in North Leinster
North Leinster had the most active farmland market in 2023, with 51 auctions held where 2,753ac of land changed hands and a total of €38.5m was generated in non-residential sales.
Despite leading the way in those three categories, the region was third in average per-acre price: at €14,008/ac it is over €3,000/ac behind South Leinster and Munster.
