Farmland prices poised to rise by 6pc this year
Most expensive land is in Waterford, cheapest is in Mayo, survey shows
The price of agricultural land is expected to increase by 6pc on average this year, mainly due to an expected recovery in milk prices and continuing strong demand from farmers and investors.
New figures from the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) and Teagasc show that the average value of non-residential agricultural land in 2023 was €9,300/ac, an 11pc increase on 2022.
