There was a strong finish to the year, with quite a few auctions in December – and prices reflected the strength of the market throughout 2023 as prices as high as €44,400/ac were paid for land.
Nearly every year West Cork hosts a farm auction that delivers prices way ahead of anything paid in the province, and indeed in the country.
