Rising costs and falling milk production volumes spark concerns over redundancies*

More job cuts in the dairy industry are now feared in the wake of Tirlán’s decision to announce a significant redundancy programme last week.

It’s understood Ireland’s second largest processor Lakeland Dairies, which cut 78 jobs last year when it announced site closures, is also reviewing functions, including finance and agribusiness.
