When did weddings become so expensive? You could put the down payment on a few acres of land with what the average wedding in Ireland seems to cost.

Over the holiday period, one friend, a farmer’s daughter, called in to see me and shared her wedding plans with me. They sound lovely but I almost choked on a mince pie when she told me how much she was spending.
