Clover boosts liveweight gain, Grange research shows

Cattle on grass/clover swards reach higher levels of liveweight gain compared to grass-only swards, according to preliminary results from a new research trail in Teagasc Grange.
In spring 2023, suckler-bred yearling steers and heifers in the Derrypatrick herd at Grange were assigned to either a grass-only or a grass/white clover sward for the ‘second’ grazing season.
