‘These days you can watch Glastonbury from the comfort of home, with your own loo, while not getting food poisoning’

I’ve never understood the appeal of music festivals. You have to sleep in a tent in the middle of a muddy field. The food is awful. Everyone is off their heads on drugs. You have to share the nearest toilet with thousands of other people. After putting up with all that, the music’s generally awful.

For many years, the BBC has offered the perfect solution. You can watch Glastonbury from the comfort of home, with your own loo, while not getting food poisoning from burgers cooked by some hippie in a van.
