The Black and Tans, in search of local IRA men, Harry and Meghan as well as Enoch Burke all made an appearance at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Béal Átha’n Ghaorthaidh.

The Black and Tans – as well as an assortment of British soldiers, RIC men and IRA volunteers – were in the Múscraí Gaeltacht village, courtesy of a musical currently in rehearsal in the village.  An Tuairín Dubh tells the story of the killing of Criostóir Ó Luasa during the War of Independence.  The musical, which is an original production, will be staged in the village this May.
