A son of the late aviation entrepreneur Tony Ryan has filed an application to divide up and build houses on the family’s stud farm in Kentucky.

Shane Ryan wants to “subdivide more than 1,000 acres of the property into different lots”, according to a report in the Lexington Herald-Leader newspaper. The proposed 16 lots will range in size from 40 to 80 acres, with one large house being built on each.
