Although Carla Redmond was always a bit of a tomboy, she never imagined herself driving a bus for a living.

After her husband fell ill and could no longer help her run the company they owned, she was forced to seek a more steady income. “I had no real intention of being a bus driver,” she said. “I don’t know anyone else who drives a bus.”
