Alexander Zverev made Pep Guardiola an offer after the Manchester City manager was invited to Wimbledon's Royal Box on Saturday.

Guardiola watched Zverev dump out British hope Cameron Norrie in a thrilling third-set tiebreak 6-4 6-4 7-6(15).

And the world No. 4 singled out the Spanish manager as he suggested two new coaching roles.

It was sporting Saturday in the Royal Box at Wimbledon with Guardiola, Roy Hodgson and Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill in attendance. And they enjoyed some drama in the first match of the day on Centre Court.

Zverev fell on the court and collided with the umpire's chair early in the second set. He recovered to take it 6-4 but there was more tension when the third set went to a tiebreak.

The German eventually won it 17-15 to advance to the second week of Wimbledon for the third time. And there was one person in the box that he had to single out. "We had so many great guests today. For me, football legend with Pep Guardiola," Zverev smiled.

Pep Guardiola Wimbledon

"When I saw Pep, I got so nervous for a few games there so thanks a lot for coming it's a great privilege, great honour to play." Before the interviewer could ask Zverev another question, he cut in with an offer to the Manchester City boss.

The Bayern Munich fan added: "And by the way, last thing. Bayern Munich needs a coach man. And if you're tired of football you can coach me on the tennis court any time."

But Guardiola wasn't interested. He initially gave Zverev a thumbs up but shook his head when the tennis star mentioned Bayern and used his hands to make a 'no way' gesture.

All England Club chair Debbie Jevans brought Guardiola down to meet Zverev in the Centre Court clubhouse. This time, the fourth seed had a more reasonable offer for the football manager.

Asked whether he would be at Wimbledon over the next few days, Guardiola said: "No, because the Royal Box is so busy." But Zverev replied: "If the Royal Box is busy you can come to me."

Behind the scenes cameras showed the recent French Open finalist then gifted the Spaniard a racket and they posed for a photo. It remains to be seen whether Guardiola accepts Zverev's new offer and turns up to his box for his next match.
