Coronation Street fans 'work out' real father of Lauren Bolton’s baby - and it’s not Joel
Coronation Street's Lauren dropped a huge bombshell that she's pregnant with Joel's child - but fans are certain she is lying.

Coronation Street fans are certain they have rumbled the identity of the father of Lauren Bolton’s (played by Cait Fitton) baby.
The troubled youngster made her shock return to the ITV soap this week - after months of being missing, and presumed dead. Fans will recall she vanished from the famous cobbles after losing her job at Roy's Rolls.
Her former boss Roy Cropper (David Nielson) ended up getting arrested for her murder and sent to prison. Luckily for Roy, sex trafficker Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper) was ultimately held responsible for her murder after he was set up by bent copper Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).
However, it wasn't until last month that viewers discovered that sleazy solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill) was behind the teen's disappearance.
And during Monday’s episode (July 7) it was revealed that Lauren is actually alive - and has been in hiding. The youngster showed up at Roy’s bedside at the hospital, following his heart attack earlier in the day.
In Tuesday’s episode (July 8), Lauren attempted to make a swift exit from the hospital - however, she was grabbed by her attacker Joel, and pushed into a family room.
A series of flashbacks throughout the episode showed viewers the truth behind Lauren’s disappearance and her relationship with Joel.
The nasty solicitor wormed his way into Lauren’s life after helping her out with bills, eventually coercing her into a sexual relationship.
On the day she went missing, Joel snapped at Lauren when she mentioned his now-fiancée Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown). He then savagely beat Lauren over the head multiple times.

However, at the hospital, Joel went to attack Lauren again - who clutched her stomach. Stunned, Joel was told by Lauren that she was five months pregnant with his child - but didn’t want him to have anything to do with it.
However, fans reckon Lauren isn’t actually telling the truth, with viewers certain that Joel is not the child’s father
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “No way is Joel the father I’m calling it now she’s lying.”
A second pointed out how she could be pregnant with Bobby’s child instead, and wrote: “Bet she's pregnant with the Bobsters kid.”
A third also claimed she was lying and wrote: “Omg she’s pregnant with Joel’s baby or is she or she just playing him.” Another penned: “It’s either fake bump or it’s someone else’s.”
