Rashida Jones shared an update on her relationship status with Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig.

Even though she has been with the rock musician, 40, for many years, the Silo actress, 48, said they are not yet married but have plans to tie the knot in the future.

'We're not married,' she told The New Yorker in an article published on Sunday.

'We just kind of call each other that,' she continued. 'But we are what we are, in the eyes of God!'

The Black-ish star — who welcomed her first child, son Isaiah, now nearly six, with Koenig in 2018 — added they do want to get married in the future but already call each other husband and wife.

'I'm sure we'll get married at some point, but we basically are,' she said.

The Parks and Recreation alum — who was first romantically linked to Koenig in 2016 — also opened up about her life as the partner of a rock star.

'Like, vintage fur coats and bus life? No. Too old for bus life. But I'm extremely proud,' she said.

'He takes a very long time to make his albums, which is so lucky for me, because it means he's home a lot of the time,' she added.

'This is our second tour cycle really, so we'll see how far I go with rock wife,' she continued.

The Office vet also spoke about her parents, record producer Quincy Jones and late model Peggy Lipton, and their marriage.

'My parents only got married when my dad had his first brain aneurysm and my sister was six months old, because of rights stuff,' she explained.

Jones also said she is in her self-proclaimed 'kooky, middle-aged era.'

In addition to her many roles including being a musician's 'wife,' she also spoke about her latest acting gig.

She spoke about starring in Sunny, an upcoming sci-fi series premiering on Apple TV+.

The series, which is based on a novel by Colin O'Sullivan, stars Jones as Suzie, an American expat living in Kyoto, Japan.

The story follows Suzie as she struggles to process the disappearance of her husband Masa, who is played by Hidetoshi Nishijima, and their son Zen after they are presumed dead in a tragic plane crash.

She receives a homebot named Sunny, who tries to help her process her grief and get her life together.

With the robot's assistance, she learns that her husband wasn't the refrigerator engineer he claimed to be.

About the role, Jones said it was a different experience she was used to as she had to play a grieving lead character, also adding that the robot was 'very high-maintenance.'

'I've never gotten the chance to play this kind of role before, somebody who's propelling a mystery forward and has her own baggage that she's taking with her,' she told the outlet.

'I've never really played a lead in a series like this, where the story is being told through this one person's searching,' she said.

'I felt like, I'm old enough, I'm ready for the challenge. 'I love the sense that this character, unlike me, is isolated,' she continued.

'She's a bit misanthropic. She came to Japan and found her own people, her family — and then she lost that very suddenly. It does feel like a show about figuring out where you belong.

'And the grief part is interesting to me,' she added. 'Grief has very much shaped my life in the past five years, because I lost my mother five years ago.

'I became a mother, and then seven months later I lost my mother. That squeeze in both directions forever changed me.'

The debut episode of Sunny will be available to stream on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, July 10; episodes will be released every week.
