Pete Davidson and Madelyn Cline have broken up after nearly a year together, DailyMail.com has confirmed.

The romance between the 30-year-old former SNL star — who recently walked off stage after being heckled — and the 26-year-old Outer Banks actress appears to have fizzled out over time.

Compared to Davidson's earlier high-profile romances, his relationship with Cline mostly stayed out of the spotlight, and the two hadn't been seen together in public since January.

At the time, Cline was spotted with her boyfriend for his stand-up performance at the Helium Comedy Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

'They ended things fairly recently, and I understand it was amicable,' a source told the The US Sun on Tuesday.

Prior to the couple's last sighting in January, they were seen north of New York City at Bobo's Café, which is a regular haunt of Pete's, according to TMZ. 

At the time, the King Of Staten Island star had sparked concern among his fans after he canceled a string of comedy dates in December and early January due to 'unforeseen circumstances.' 

It was in September that Davidson and Cline were first reported to be an item. 

In November a source told Us Weekly that the couple's under-the-radar public appearances were a strategy.

'Things are going really well with Madelyn and Pete, but they’re trying their best to keep a low-key romance,' they said. 'They have both dated people in the public eye before and are trying to maintain more privacy this time around.'

The source added that Cline was a hit with Davidson's family. His mother and sister reportedly thought she was 'lovely' after getting to spend some time with the Glass Onion actress. 

The relationship was reportedly going strong as recently as April of this year.

'They are very much in love,' a source told Us Weekly at the time. 

They added that the celebrity couple's 'independent' natures made it easy for them to sustain a romance.

Davidson and Cline struck up their relationship in the wake of dual breakups.

The Bupkis star had broken up with Bodies Bodies Bodies star Chase Sui Wonders in August after just under a year together.

Cline had been single for long after splitting from her Outer Banks costar Chase Stokes, whom she dated for over a year, toward the end of 2021. 

Davidsons relationship with Wonders was marked by turmoil after he crashed his Mercedes into the side of a home in Beverly Hills in March of 2023.

Wonders was in the passenger seat at the time. Luckily, no in the home or the car were injured, though the homeowner later said that his teen daughter, who was near the spot were the car crashed into the home, was 'traumatized' by the event.

In June 2023, Davidson was charged with one count of misdemeanor reckless driving, but he agreed to enter an 18-month diversion program.

He was required to do work in a medical setting, attend 12 hours of traffic school, pay restitution and complete 50 hours of community service. 

Davidson was allowed to do his service requirements in New York, where he lives, and he was also required to not break any laws during the 18-month period. 

Shortly after he entered into the diversion program, Davidson checked himself into rehab again. 

He has said in the past that he periodically checks himself in as a proactive and preventative treatment.
