Gruesome horror movie MaXXXine leaves audiences cowering in terror with VERY graphic torture scene: 'I'm still thinking about it'

Ti West's MaXXXine is shaping up to be one of the hottest films of the summer movie season.
The '80s-inspired slasher opened over the weekend after months of hype - and it's already left some filmgoers horrified by one particularly gruesome scene.
The scene, which takes place early on in the film, sees Mia Goth's Maxine Minx take down an attacker in an extremely horrific fashion.
It begins with Maxine being followed down a dark alleyway by a knife-wielding street performer.
Realizing she's been cornered and is in danger, Maxine pulls a pistol out of her purse and orders the assailant to strip down naked.

She then gets him to lie face down on the ground with his legs spread - before landing a crushing blow onto his nether-regions with her stiletto.
Fans have flooded social media with their reactions to the eye-watering moment, with one posting to X, 'There is a scene early in #Maxxxine that made EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the theater make some kind of shocked noise lol.'
They added, 'It's f***ing crazy.'
'MaXXXine features a brutal alley scene that could eclipse Maxine running over Pearl's head,' posted another.
'The alley scene in MaXXXine made my dad wince out in pain,' wrote one.
One moviegoer wrote, 'This scene made our theater gasp SO loud last night, it is insane.'
Another commented, 'I really hated this movie but the way my theater collectively gasped at this scene was unlike anything I've seen.'
MaXXXine opened in fourth place at the box office over the weekend, taking in $6.7million.

It comes after actress Lily Collins has showed off the incredible transformation for her terrifying role in the film in a slew of 'unhinged' behind-the-scenes snaps.
Along with the shots of Lily, 35, looking bloodied and dismembered, the actress captioned her Instagram post: 'Spoiler alert! Finally get to share this unhinged BTS from @maxxxinemovie.'
She continued, 'So much fun working with the genius that is #TiWest and the incomparable #MiaGoth, alongside an insanely talented cast and crew.
'I feel very lucky to be included in such a wild trilogy and part of this totally insane ride. Run don't walk to see it in theaters NOW.'

In MaXXXine, Lily plays Molly Bennett, an actress in The Puritan II, a film Mia's character Maxine Minx wins the lead role of.
MaXXXine is preceded by March 2022's X, and was then swiftly followed by Pearl: An X-traordinary Origin Story.
Though the films only grossed a total of $25million, their budgets were just $1million each, making them both box office successes.
Each of the films, as well as MaXXXine, were directed by Ti West and starred Mia Goth as both Pearl and Maxine.
