A cruel thug who kicked his Cane Corso dog in a horrific attack while a sickened bystander called him a 'b*****d' has been banned from owning pets.

Javel Williams, 38, booted his canine Nala so hard he sent the terrified animal flying, leaving it yelping in pain.

After inspectors visited his home in Primrose Hill, north London, the thug moved the pet, who also had six puppies, to a friend's house before it was seized and taken into the care of the RSPCA.

Now Williams has been banned from keeping dogs for six years and handed a six-month conditional discharge after a hearing at Southwark Crown Court on June 14.

Shocking video footage shows the perpetrator attacking the animal at the end of the road in the affluent area of the capital with the canine screaming out in anguish.

The appalled person filming the clip then cries out, 'you b*****d', from down the pavement after witnessing the brutal assault.

The court was also shown another video of a dog running away from a man in fear.

RSPCA Inspector Shahnaz Ahmad, who probed the case, said that although the clip was filmed from a distance she believed it showed Williams and Nala.

Several members of the public also provided witness statements saying they had seen the defendant being abusive to his pet before.

The inspector previously visited Williams's flat at his home on Ainger Road in Primrose Hill in November 2022 following a report from a concerned member of the public. She then gave advice about the welfare of the dog and its six puppies.

The RSPCA revisited the defendant's flat on May 4, 2023 when Williams denied hitting Nala.

After viewing the two videos and collecting witness statements, Inspector Ahmad visited the flat once more with a police officer on July 10, 2023, during which Williams said he had moved Nala to a friend's house.

The dog was seized from the property and taken into the care of the RSPCA.

A vet who examined Nala said the pet was suffering from around 30% lameness in her left hind leg and had a 9cm-long scar on her left tibia.

After studying the video clips, the vet stated: 'The videos and witness statements evidence that Nala was subject to physical and psychological abuse.

'Following these acts of violence I estimate that Nala suffered for a period of at least six to eight weeks.'

The court was told that during March and April 2023 Williams signed over two puppies into the care of the RSPCA.

Both needed hospital treatment and one, who was emaciated and had sustained a broken pelvis, was in such poor health that the pet was put to sleep.

In mitigation, the court heard that Williams has learning and developmental difficulties, which were outlined in a pre-sentence report.

The court also made a deprivation order in respect of Nala, who will now be rehomed by the charity.
