Teacher accused of having sex with female ex-student and tried to lure her into threesome with her husband loses her license

A high school teacher has lost her license over accusations she had a long-running sexual relationship with a former female student.

Lindsay Amber Eileen Dolson had been teaching at an unnamed school in Canada at the time, during which she 'committed acts that, in all circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by members as disgraceful,' a discipline committee wrote.

They further branded her actions from about 2014 to 2015 to be both 'dishonorable or unprofessional,' and 'engaged in conduct unbecoming [of] a member [of the Ontario College of Teachers].'

The committee added she 'abused [the student] psychologically or emotionally' to the point where she was left suffering from 'adverse emotional and psychological effects'

According to a notice detailing how she was found guilty of misconduct, Dolson sent the student inappropriate messages about her 'sexual orientation, sexual preferences, and/or sexual history,' including having a threesome with her husband.

'From in or about February 2014 to in or about June 2014, [Dolson] had inappropriate interactions with Student 1 while she was a student at the School,' the notice following her disciplinary hearing on June 6 said.

It added how she had 'inappropriate interactions with the student', and worried the student might speak about an alleged sexual encounter.

At one point, she allegedly told the student - referred as Student 1 in the internal investigation documents - she had her nipples pierced, giving the student her phone number and driving the student around in her personal car.

She also sent photos of her breasts to Student 1, the committee found - along with other images equally risqué.

Some were allegedly sent the student while doing yoga, and one asked for a photo of the student’s own breasts.

The teacher - who worked in Cambridge until her status was switched to inactive in 2020 - also allegedly encouraged the student to masturbate and coached her, all while telling her to keep their correspondence secret.

A threesome with Dolson's husband came up in conversation, the context of which remains unknown.

Dolson also allegedly asked the student about her sexual orientation, preferences and sexual history, and encouraged her to make a move on another woman as well.

The Waterloo District School Board branded her actions to be both 'dishonorable or unprofessional,' and 'engaged in conduct unbecoming [of] a member [of the Ontario College of Teachers]'. The school board's headquarters in Kitchener is seen here

The filing adds how their alleged fling started on August 2 of2014, when the student went to Dolson’s home and 'was allegedly offered an alcoholic drink,'

Then, the student and the teacher allegedly began undressing and kissing on the teacher's bed, after which Dolson began 'performing oral sex and penetrating her.'

The hearing notice - which did not include a police investigation - saadded that the student was also offered a vibrator during the interaction, and how over the next four years, Dolson became increasingly interested in the former student’s sex life.

The pair relationship continued via text messages, many of which were compiled and perused by the the school board.

At one point, the educator asked the student if they could 'be together again,' after which, on April 23, 2020, the college moved Dolson’s status to inactive and nonpracticing.

The school where Dolson taught and the student’s age were not specified, due to the sensitive nature of the investgation.

Dolson has not been charged for the relationship, and the sexual aspects of it have not been proven in a criminal court.

She got her Bachelor of Arts from Trent University in 2002.
