A fierce debate about social media etiquette has broken out after an influencer was accused of being disrespectful at a wedding.

Former Hype House stars Kouvr Annon, 24, and now-husband Alex Warren, 23, tied the knot on June 22 in a Taylor Swift-inspired wedding after getting engaged in 2022.

Kouvr stunned in a Galia Lahav gown and there were plenty of TikTok-famous faces, including Charli D'Amelio, Markell Washington, David Kushner, and Madison Beer

However, the glamorous wedding didn't just make waves because of the guest list and gorgeous gown.

After one of the attendees, influencer Lilah Gibney, vlogged the entire experience despite a phones-off policy, folks took to social media to complain about the forbidden footage.

The trans influencer uploaded a since deleted video on YouTube the day after the wedding with the headline: 'I caught the bouquet at Alex & Kouvr's WEDDING.'

Lilah showed off her three-hour drive to the wedding, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the ceremony and reception - which many people thought should have been up to the bride and groom to share with their own combined 40 million followers.

Lilah's video gained more than 40,000 views, and led to a major debate about whether she had the right to share footage from their big day before the couple did, especially since Kouvr and Alex make money through YouTube and Snapchat ads.

Content creator Mattie, who makes videos as @mattiesbasement, shared a video with their 4.5 million followers about the controversy and said, 'If somebody makes a vlog about my wedding... why would you do that?'

Mattie continued, 'It's a wedding. It's not a theme park,' and urged people to 'maybe be in the moment a little bit.'

'Vlogging is crazy,' Mattie said before musing, 'I could be totally wrong and you could be okay with people vlogging at your wedding.'

Mattie captioned the video, 'Is this a crazy take?' clarifying, 'And I'm not talking about GRWMs those are cute!!'

Commenters agreed that it wasn't the time or place and it wasn't appropriate to post before the happy couple, with one writing, 'Lilah using THEIR wedding as a backdrop for her basically OOTD really got me.'

But it appears that both Alex and Kouvr agreed with the take that vlogging shouldn't take place at weddings, as commenters pointed out that both reposted the TikTok and Kouvr even commented: 'Period.'

However, Lilah defended her right to share the footage before the influencer couple, which included one of her friends rolling around in the bride's veil.

Lilah responded on TikTok to a People story breaking down her videos and said, 'Y'all are very, very upset,' and apologized for offending people by making the video and said it was her way of making people feel happy.

'There's no influencer wedding rulebook. There's no sign. No one said it was unplugged,' Lilah told her followers, despite a sign that said it was an unplugged event.

One commenter criticized Lilah for 'dropping the vlog before the bride and groom even posted anything.'

Another said, 'Kouvr had a damn sign saying turn the cameras OFF,' and 'Not Kouvr holding a sign saying it was unplugged.'

Someone else chimed in: 'It's called respect, no rule book needed.'

A commenter wrote, 'The way there was no accountability taken in this video. Kouvr is better than me bc (because) I would have gone insane.'
