Walmart+ Week is BACK With Some Major Changes

Walmart is changing up the timing of its Walmart+ week sale. Here are the deals you can expect to find, and the limited-time perks available to Walmart+ members.

Last year, Walmart debuted Walmart+ week, a sales event geared at rewarding its most loyal shoppers. It ran the sale in July, overlapping Amazon Prime Day in July.

This year, however, Walmart is getting an early start and has kicked off its Walmart+ week event in June (June 17 to 23).

And that's just one of this year's changes.

To get you ready for the big savings event to come, we broke down all you need to know about Walmart+ Week and what deals you can expect to find.

What is Walmart+ Week?

Walmart+ Week is a sale Walmart is throwing for its Walmart+ members. You have to be a Walmart+ member to shop it (that's different from 2023, when members got early access but everyone could eventually shop the sale). You can sign up for Walmart+ here.

Walmart+ is Walmart's paid membership ($98 a year). It offers benefits like free delivery, free shipping with no order minimum, discounts on fuel, extra rewards with Expedia, free Paramount+ and more.

During the sale, Walmart+ members get exclusive discounts, as well as the following benefits:
Double the discount on fuel at Exxon & Mobil stations nationwide, from 10 cents off per gallon 20 cents off every gallon during Walmart+ Week.
Up to 20% back in Walmart Cash on flights, hotels, car rentals, and activities booked through Walmart+ Travel. Walmart Cash is Walmart’s rewards currency. It's available ONLY to Walmart+ members. You earn it on certain purchases and can then redeem it against future purchases.
One free Express Delivery, which means you get your order in under two hours, without the usual $10 fee.
A mystery offer (first ever!). On June 20, Walmart will reveal the details. Three months free of Walmart+ InHome delivery service. This normally costs $19.95 a month and involves having a delivery person deliver right to your kitchen and put away.

When is Walmart+ Week?

Walmart+ Week 2024 runs June 17 (kicking off midnight ET) to June 23.

2023: July 10 at noon ET to July 13 at 7 p.m. ET.

What's New This Year for Walmart+ Week

In its second year, Walmart+ Week will see the following changes:

Earlier timing: It's in June instead of July. Last year, Walmart dropped the sale on top of Amazon Prime Day, but this year it seems to be going for an earlier start.
Members only: Last year, Walmart+ members got early access, but everyone could shop eventually. This year, only Walmart+ members have access the entire sale. In that way, the 2024 Walmart+ Week event is similar to Prime Day in that it's for paying members only.
Different perks: Last year's perks included six free months of Panera's Unlimited Sip Club and BOGO deals at Six Flags. This year's perks include better gas rewards, travel deals and three free months of Walmart InHome delivery (Walmart delivers right to your kitchen).

Walmart hasn't announced any product deals yet for Walmart+ Week 2024. Here are a few deals it offered last year:

Walmart+ Membership Details

A Walmart+ membership costs $12.95 per month or $98 per year. You can try the membership out for free for 30 days, but free trial members do not gain access to exclusive sales like Walmart+ Week. Right now, you can save 50% on an annual membership. This means you'll pay just $49 for the year.
