Kyle Richards shows her support for Kesha after the songstress defended herself against body-shaming trolls

Kyle Richards stood up for her friend Kesha after the singer blasted body-shaming trolls who have been criticizing her recently.

The 55-year-old Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star stopped to talk with TMZ after she arrived at Los Angeles' LAX airport after returning from a trip to Aspen, Colorado.

When she was quizzed about tagging Kesha in a recent short clip of herself riding a bike in the tourist-friendly city, Kyle admitted it was because the Tik Tok singer had been with her.

When she was asked about the body shaming Kesha had been subjected to, Kyle was shocked.

'I cannot understand that,' she said. 'It's 2024, and she's gorgeous.'

'And she's even more beautiful on the inside,' Kyle added, before saying she didn't like how 'people are still talking about women's bodies in this time.'

The reality star wasn't as vocal when she was asked about allegations that Real Housewives Of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice had been photoshopping herself on Instagram.

'I don't know anything about that,' she said, before urging people to 'worry about themselves.'

Turning back to Kesha, she added, 'people could be nicer,' and she said lots of other people have had similar body-shaming experiences on social media, even if they're not as famous as Kesha.

Kesha took aim at those who had been criticizing her body in an Instagram post from Sunday that featured some sizzling photos of her in a bikini that she shared with her 3.3 million followers.

'I didn’t think in 2024 people still body shamed but. i am so proud of my body. she’s been through a lot,' she began her message.

The singer–songwriter continued, 'She’s torn her acl on stage and finished the show. she’s held my f***ing broken heart together.'

To conclude, she directly addressed her critics: 'To those who think you’re shaming me, you’re actually making me feel very powerful. so, to you, i hope you one day feel whole enough to not tear other women down. in the meantime, hate me harder b****:).'

Kyle had showed her support directly at the time by commenting, 'So beautiful inside and out.'

The first image showed Kesha — born Kesha Rose Sebert — lying on a rocky outdoor surface with her back arched.

Her skimpy black string bikini bared the small tattoos on her arm and the sizable ink on her ribcage.

In a second capture, she wore an opened white robe, revealing her taut tummy and cleavage.

She posed on a balcony with a sunny backdrop with a clear blue sky and ocean view.

Kesha covered her blonde locks with a black baseball cap and went makeup free in the pair of snaps.

One fan wrote, 'An absolute queen, an inspiration, and a warrior who’s had to be strong even when she should have been protected. We love you.'

Someone else added, 'you have the most beautiful soul and heart. that’s what will carry on with you through every lifetime.'

Kesha has a history with bulimia and anorexia, which she said got worse as her career took off in 2009.

In 2017, she admitted to Rolling Stone that she 'really just thought I wasn't supposed to eat food.'

'If I ever did [eat], I felt very ashamed, and I would make myself throw up because I'd think, "Oh, my God, I can't believe I actually did that horrible thing. I'm so ashamed of myself because I don't deserve to eat food."'

She recalled that 'the worse' she got and 'sicker' she became, the 'better a lot of people around' her were saying she looked.

'They would just be like, "Oh my gosh, keep doing whatever you're doing! You look so beautiful, so stunning,"' she told the music magazine.

After teasing new music for months, the songstress dropped her newest tune, an upbeat anthem called Joyride on July 4.

It marks her first single since she officially parted ways with producer Dr. Luke's record label Kemosabe Records and RCA in 2023.

It follows a lengthy legal battle against Dr. Luke, whom she accused of sexually assaulting and abusing her for years.

In May 2023 she released the album Gag Order, which was the final project she was contractually obligated to put out.
