Is Beatrice borrowing from Aunty Sophie? Princess dons £945 floral frock recently worn by the Duchess - and it's the first time they've dressed the same!

Princess Beatrice has been spotted wearing a familiar frock while attending day two of Royal Ascot on Wednesday.

The floral linen and silk midi dress, created by design brand Zimmermann, originally cost £1,350, but is currently on sale at MyTheresa at £945.

It features long sleeves, an a-line skirt, concealed zip at the back, and a belt, giving the garment a cinched-in look at the waist.

And 35-year-old Beatrice is not the first member of The Firm to sport the garment - the Duchess of Edinburgh, 59, wore it during the recent Order of the Garter service in Windsor.

The only difference in how the women wore the frock, was that Sophie removed the gem detailing from the belt.

Mother-of-two Sophie paired the dress with co-ordinating pointed heeled pumps in an extremely pale blush colour and a handbag in a matching tone.

She wore he blonde locks styled into an up do, completing the look with a pink and cream hat.

Meanwhile Beatrice, who is mother to two-year-old daughter Sienna and stepmother to eight-year-old Christopher "Wolfie" Woolf, chose to keep the belt's dem detail.

She opted for similar shoes, wearing heeled pumps in a creamy blush tone, and carrying a pink clutch bag.

Opting to wear her tresses in loose waves, that cascaded down her back, Beatrice wore a large pink headband-style fascinator decorated with fabric flowers.

It's not known whether the two women, who are reportedly similar in height (with Sophie thought to be around an inch taller than the younger royal) shared the frock, or whether they both purchased it.

Their matching outfits this week are not the only time Beatrice has worn a frock previously donned by Sophie.

The young royal donned an Emilia Wickstead frock while attending Trooping the Colour in 2019.

She looked effortlessly elegant in the pale pink midi dress with a black lace trim running down the arms.

A year earlier, Sophie looked equally chic in the garment, which she wore to Royal Ascot.

The now-Duchess of Edinburgh paired the dress with heeled pumps, a coordinating clutch bag, and a pink and purple fascinator.

Sophie and Beatrice were just two of the royals attending Royal Ascot today.

Other members of The Firm to appear at the event included Zara Tindall, Prince William, and Queen Camilla.
