Tennis and Pickleball Lines

From May to October, the Banff Recreation Grounds are the place to be for softball, soccer, rugby, tennis, basketball, Frisbee, BBQs, or skateboarding. 

The following recreation facilities are available for public use when not exclusively booked:

  • 2 Ball Diamonds
  • Field Sports Field – the sports field is lined for both soccer and rugby and has bleacher seating. 
  • Outdoor Basketball Court
  • 2 courts lined for tennis and pickleball
  • Skateboard Park
  • Playgrounds
  • Picnic table sites

 Note: only the sports field and ball diamonds are available for private sports bookings.

To Reserve Fields & Diamonds

If your sports league or program needs to reserve the Banff Recreation Grounds or school fields for games, or you need to reserve a picnic shelter, contact the recreation team by e-mailing rentals@banff.ca. 

Seasonal user group bookings for the sports field and ball diamonds are accepted starting in January each year will allocation finalized shortly after the February long-weekend.  Field allocation, including the High School field follows the Public Use of Municipal Facilities Policy.  Single use applications will be reviewed following seasonal allocation in March. 

Field and ball diamond bookings are accepted from May 1 – September 30 each year (weather dependent). To inquire about a sports field or ball diamond rental, please fill out a rental application.
