Leave your car behind and enjoy the experience of riding in one of Banff's beautiful, energy-efficient Roam buses to some of Banff's most iconic destinations.

Roam takes you to all attractions within the Town of Banff, as well as all major attractions in Banff National Park. Routes are expanded in summer with daily service from downtown Banff connecting to locations such as:

Banff Gondola and Upper Hot Springs
Bow Falls and the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel
Lake Minnewanka
Cave & Basin National Historic Site
Lake Louise
Johnston Canyon
Town of Canmore

Electrifying Fleet

Roam has a fleet of 31 buses, with 10 fully battery electric buses running year-round.

Roam is expanding the fleet to increase service frequency to top locations. Three new battery electric buses and three hybrid buses are on order – due to arrive in spring 2025. Three highway coaches are also on order, with delivery expected in fall 2024.

Free Roam Transit Pass for Banff Residents

Starting in May 2022, Banff residents are able to ride local Roam Transit routes for free! Banff residents need a special SmartCard bus pass to ride for free.
