Canoeing is a great way to get out on the water to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Ensure you and your paddling partners are prepared by joining local certified experts as they guide you through trip planning, required equipment, safety tips and technical instruction for canoeing on our Rocky Mountain lakes and rivers.

A little training from the experts will significantly enhance your fun and safety.

Beginner River Canoeing
Designed for those with lake canoeing experience and who want to enhance their skills and slip into moving water. Certified, local canoe instructors will help advance your paddling, communication and rescue skills, all of which are essential for safe river canoe tripping. You will also learn how to enter and exit an eddy, navigate currents, and identify hazards above and below the water.

Saturday, June 1 & Sunday, June 2, 8:15 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Ages 13+
Participants aged 13 - 15 must register and be accompanied by a registered adult.
Cost: $175+GST
    Banff Access Tier 1 - $87.50 +GST
    Banff Access Tier 2 - $131.25 +GST

Intermediate River Canoeing
Designed for those with lake canoeing experience and who want to enhance their skills and slip into moving water.
