During IDEAL harvesting season farmers spend up to 15 hours per day on their combine ☀️ In summer our farmers all over the world are harvesting from day- to moonlight. When others are heading into their holidays our farmers are kicking into a higher gear because every minute matters during harvest. Many times they only have a very small window for harvesting. 💡This is why in the case of tasks that cannot be postponed - such as harvesting - farmers are allowed to extend their working time into the night so they can keep on treshing. 🌾 Our customers have high quality standards for our products. We thought summer is just the right time to create awareness for the harvest as it’s the base to our food supply. The history of Fendt: a look at the fascinating past.✨ In 1928, 17-year-old Hermann Fendt and his father Johann-Georg Fendt took a remarkable step together. They proudly presented their first grass mower, powered by a modest but groundbreaking 4 hp petrol engine. What looked like a simple device at the time was in fact the foundation stone for one of the greatest success stories in agriculture. In the pictures you can see the first grass mower with a petrol engine in use on the farm and father Johann Georg and mother Kreszentia Fendt harvesting hay in Marktoberdorf. No one would have guessed at the time that this small machine would lay the foundation for a company that would set benchmarks in the agricultural machinery industry. The vision and determination of these pioneers changed the agricultural machinery industry forever. The Fendt spirit connects generations 👦 🧔👵 ❤️ More than 1,000 Fendt fans and their tractors traveled to this year's Fendt meeting in Niederwil, Switzerland, last weekend. The fans met for the fifth time on Ernst Brunner's grassland. The Fendt fan, who owns 11 Fendt tractors himself, including a well-preserved Fendt F18 from the very beginning, organizes the meeting on his own initiative. What started small became a cult event. 💚 On the Fendt farmers land, classic tractors such as the Fendt Dieselross F18 lined up alongside the latest tractors such as the Fendt 700 Vario Gen7. Prizes were awarded to the tractor that had traveled the furthest and the one with the most beautiful decoration. 💐 The youngest visitors and their Fendt pedal tractors were also awarded prizes for the most beautiful decoration. Throwback 1999: Start of the Fendt 700 Vario era🌱 The 100.000th Fendt 700 Vario rolled off the production line - a milestone that invites us to look back on the various generations of this successful series. With the Fendt Favorit 700 Vario, Fendt launched a revolutionary generation of tractors in the 115 hp to 160 hp class in 1998. The continuously variable Vario transmission and the integrated Vario terminal were available for the first time in this performance class. The Fendt team #VARIOFLITZER took part in this year's #CityCycling competition! 🏆💚 A total of 301 participating employees from our production sites across Germany pedaled more than 78,200 kilometers on their bikes. 🚴🏽♂️🚴🏽♀️ But that´s not all; our team alone saved over 12,950 kilograms of CO2. 🌎💪 This is really great! Convinced South African Fendt Customers At Fendt, we always appreciate feedback from farmers and Fendt customers. Back in May, we met Steve and Darrell Brown from the Farm Craig in Newcastle on the Grain SA's 56th NAMPO Harvest Day. The agricultural exhibition welcomed 86,474 farmers and agriculture enthusiasts. Son and father elaborated on why they chose to purchase a Fendt tractor. Steve Brown is convinced: "You're going to get great value into the future because you're buying something that is technologically ahead of its time and it's going to remain relevant for the next 10, 15 years." 12 Fendt tractors and Amazone innovations in action 🎑 On 23 July, the Amazone Fendt Field Evening took place in Moosbach, Austria. Around 400 guests from local professional arable farms could experience Fendt tractors from all series and the innovations Amazone presented at Agritechnica 2023 in the field.  One highlight was the new Fendt 620 Vario, which was first presented in Austria. 🥳 Yesterday we built the 100.000th Fendt 700 Vario! 🥇For 25 years, our 700 series has been a firm favourite on farms and in contracting businesses. Each of the seven generations has repeatedly impressed with new technical solutions, which we will present in a post series over the next weeks. 🗣"As an all-rounder, the 700 series is the VW Golf of tractors, so to speak," says Christoph Groeblinghoff with a laugh, confirming the success of the tractor models. "The Fendt 700 Vario has evolved with each generation of drivers in order to fulfil ever-increasing demands: More power, less fuel consumption, more manoeuvrable and even more comfortable. He will succeed Christian Erkens. "With Dominic Esser, we have gained a personality with many years of experience at AGCO and a deep understanding of the agricultural machinery business. As Director Sales Fendt EME, he will ensure continuous growth in the European sales markets and thus create important conditions for the further growth of Fendt," says Christoph Groeblinghoff, Vice President & Chairman of the Fendt Management Board EME.
