The youth is the future and technological innovation is shaping that future narrative. We live in an incredible tech-driven world and it is only going to keep getting more advanced. With these advancements comes an increasing need for cyber security, an area of skills that we face a global shortage of. This is partly because there is a skills gap in cybersecurity that we need to remedy. Manoj Puri, our Absa Group Chief Security Officer, was a panel member in the OECD Centre for Skills webinar, Bridging the Cyber security Skill Gap, at our Absa Cybersecurity Academy. “Through this educational initiative, we help the youth build their future by nurturing and educating 20 students in the cyber security sector. For five years now, our academy has been empowering young people, uplifting underprivileged communities and focusing on the role a strong diversity can play in writing a story of prosperity.” It’s time to be a part of making a difference and investing in our youth so that they can reach their fullest potential and capabilities. Let’s help them write their story. Watch the full webinar to get a deeper understanding of the cybersecurity skills gap and to learn more about our initiatives to bridge that gap.
