Lillian’s 5-star review:
My hotel was nearby by so I stopped by Whalers Village a few times. It was a fun little area to walk around when I had down time. It does have a lot of the typical stores but tax here is a lot cheaper (only 4%!) so it is a worthwhile place to check out. It's not as big as a typical mall on the mainland but they do have Louis Vuitton, Lululemon, Sephora, and many others.
The ABC Store is a must visit! They carry souvenirs, food, clothes, and other little necessities like sunblock. All the items I was planning to buy at the shop in my hotel was a lot cheaper here. The prices are comparable to the other locations in Lahaina.
They also hold special events each day such as lei making, hula lessons, ukulele lessons, and live music. I did the lei making class which is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It's located next to the ABC Store by the canopy. This was something I wanted to do while in Hawaii and I'm so glad I was able to make a lei here. There were so many different colored flowers to choose from and the instructor was very helpful. It's free but tips are encouraged.
The hours are 9:30 am - 10 pm. However, I found that most shops start closing around 9 pm.
