There are different tastings and tours at Maui Chocolate. The Farm Tour doesn't allow children under three on the tour and the chocolate tastings I would recommend for adults. The chocolate is all dark chocolate and might not be something that kids… more

We did the sunset jazz and let me tell you it was quite the fun time. The music was wonderful and the view was amazing. We got some chocolate and alcohol pairings along with a charcuterie board. All was super delicious!

We were grateful and happy to see Maui Estate Chocolate survived the fire. It literally got as close as you can imagine. Somehow, it survived and we were so glad because it does so many good charitable things for the community. Even before the fire, 100% of their profit went back to different organizations in the community. Their tour is temporarily closed but the shop is still open. Their chocolate milkshakes are still to die for. Our classic Italian shakes were rich, creamy, and buttery taste of cocoa. The staff was super friendly too.

We love the history, the tour of the cacao farm, the chocolate tasting in the tree house, and how the owner's philosophy of giving back to the community (100% of their profit goes back to different organizations in the community). Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. They followed strict COVID protocols to protect you, their staff, and the farm. My wife also tried one of their small but pricey ($12) Salted Caramel Chocolate milk shake. She said it was worth it because of its rich and buttery taste of the cocoa.

Great place for our last day on Mau'i! Do the 9 Piece flight because more chocolate is better! The chocolate is really good; on par with Royce and Neuhaus. Tried the Don Fulano Tequila and Sho Chiku Bai nigori sake with the chocolates. The Tequila was actually good, probably due to the citrus notes. The sake was okay, maybe a daiginjyo would be better (Hakkaisan). Mahalo Jaime for recommending we break the napolitains into four pieces, so we could share more varieties (we had four in our party).

Found right in town, you'll enter into a small cafe area. Fun chocolate items for purchase as well as some beautiful decor and art. Head upstairs before your tour early to relax and grab a drink with a view. The tour requires a cozy van ride on dirt. Once you arrive prepare for a short walk in the shade amongst all the trees. The tour was full of information as well as a sensory experience. Head up into a tree house for lots of chocolate. It was such a generous portion we couldn't finish. The view was stunning. Water is provided and a bathroom is available. Highly recommend for groups and even kids who love chocolate.

What a great place and your. We learned so much and in my opinion was worth the money. We took all four of our family members and don't regret spending the money.
I think they are doing it right, sustainable and giving back in all they do.
Btw the chocolate was amazing too!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

This is a great way to educate yourself and your kids, on how chocolate is grow. The tour focuses on the agricultural side of growing chocolate, and not on the factory processing. A short bus ride takes you to a pretty farm, where you walk through the cacao trees. It's not overly detailed, and it moves along a good pace. We tried a raw cacao seed and it was like mild unsweetened chocolate, despite looking like pumpkin guts. Of course the best part, was the chocolate tasting in a tree house above the farm. The guide was very entertaining, answering any question we had about chocolate. The (9) piece tasting left us full, even with small samples. It's so rich and smooth, in fact the smoothest chocolate I've ever had. Many of the samples are fruit infused, which isn't my favorite type. I would have traded for more of the plain dark, but it was fun trying them all. Back at the factory, you get a small glimpse through the glass, of the process. I would have enjoyed a presentation on that part. All sorts of premium chocolate is available in the store, at premium prices. We ended up buying some hot chocolate only, which is made using whichever sample chocolate bar you want. This tour is worth the cost.

Great family friendly tour! We got a great education on Maui Chocolate farming techniques n some background. The proceeds are donated to the locals! Also, the variety of chocolate flight included in the tasting at the tree house was super enjoyable. Our guide Shay F. was funny, friendly, and very interactive. Thank you!

Amazing tour! We had a blast and we learned so much about every step of chocolate making during this 1.5hr long tour. Our tour guide Lucas was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable. The tasting at the end of the tour was also fun, and the samples we got were heavenly. We are dark chocolate fans but even their milk chocolates are super delicious. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui, or at the minimum just go get some of their chocolates at the cafe.
