Fountain Inn, South Carolina, creates downtown dedicated golf cart parking area
A Greenville County, South Carolina, city is making it easier for people who use golf carts to make those quick trips downtown.
Fountain Inn city leaders said Tuesday that a new "initiative will add 20 new parking spaces specifically designed for golf cart use, enhancing accessibility and convenience for residents and visitors alike."
Officials did not release details of the location of the new dedicated golf car parking area, but said to watch for signs crews will put up in the coming weeks.

"These signs will clearly indicate the designated areas for golf cart parking, ensuring that everyone can easily identify and make use of the new spaces," officials said in a release.
They said the new golf cart parking initiative is a result of the city's recently adopted comprehensive plan called INNvision.

The plan "aims to foster a more accessible and pedestrian-friendly environment," officials said. "The INNvision plan encourages the use of alternative modes of transportation, such as bicycles and golf carts, to serve the current and future needs of the community."
