Dr. R. Max Holmes in conversation with Kitty Pilgrim
As part of the Nantucket Atheneum’s Geschke Lecture series, international journalist and author Kitty Pilgrim will interview Dr. R. Max Holmes at the Great Harbor Yacht Club. Their conversation will focus on what climate “doomer-ism” gets wrong, and explore hopes for the future on topics ranging from the energy transition to forest benefits, renewable energy, and land use change. During the Nantucket Atheneum’s 183 years of service as Nantucket’s public library, a central part of its mission has been bringing distinguished public speakers to the island. Since the summer of 2005, the Geschke Lecture Series has been inviting speakers to Nantucket to inform and challenge audiences with current critical ideas and issues.
