"WHEN YOU'RE COMING FROM INCARCERATION, THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW AND THAT FAMILY DOESN'T UNDERSTAND. WHEN YOU'RE EMBRACED BY WOMEN THAT KNOW AND HAVE BEEN THROUGH WHAT YOU'RE TRYING TO GET THROUGH, IT HELPS A LOT. I FEEL LIKE I'VE EVOLVED A LOT IN MY LIFE AND I HAVE WOMEN ON THE RISE TO THANK FOR THAT"

- Martika Henderson, Women on the Rise Member
