We are learning new information about the jailing of Billie Jo Betterton, also known as Billie Jo Howell, the grandmother of formerly missing toddler Quinton Simon.
Betterton was jailed Monday, December 12, for violating a court order.
Her mugshot shows her wearing a suicide-prevention smock.
According to the Chatham County Sheriff's Office, Juvenile Court Judge Lindretta Grindle Kramer found her in contempt of court and sentenced her to ten days in jail.
Betterton is due to be released on December 22nd.

On Wednesday, Simon was indicted on 19 counts including murder in the death of her son, Quinton.
Quinton was reported missing on the morning of October 5 from Billie Jo Betterton's Buckhalter Road home.
Leilani Simon lived there with Quinton, her other children, and her boyfriend.
Some of Quinton's remains were found weeks later in a Chatham County landfill.
According to District Attorney Shalena Cook Jones, Leilani Simon intentionally caused Quinton's death and the indictments allege Leilani dumped his body into a dumpster at a mobile home park off Ogeechee Road roughly three miles from the family's Buckhalter Road home.
Leilani Simon was denied bond during a hearing on December 6.
She is due back in court on February 13, 2023.
