Orlando Magic trade second-round draft pick to New Orleans, receive rights to future pick
The Orlando Magic traded their No. 47 overall draft pick Antonio Reeves to the New Orleans Pelicans, team president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman announced on Thursday.
In exchange, the Magic will receive two unprotected swap rights for second-round draft picks for 2030 and 2031.
For the next eight NBA drafts, 2025-2032, the Magic has nine first-round picks and 13 second-round picks.
On Wednesday, the Magic selected Tristan Da Silva as their No. 18 overall pick from the University of Colorado.
Summer League schedule announced
The Orlando Magic's NBA Summer League schedule was released on Friday.
Here's who the Magic will lineup against this summer:
July 12 at 4 p.m. vs. Cleveland Cavaliers on NBA TV
July 14 at 7:30 p.m. vs. New Orleans Pelicans on NBA TV
July 17 at 7 p.m. vs. Memphis Grizzlies on ESPN+
July 18 at 8 p.m. vs. Brooklyn Nets on NBA TV
U.S. Select Team call ups
Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley was named head coach of the 2024 USA Basketball men's Select Team on Friday.
It's the second consecutive year Mosley has been named head coach of the team.
Magic guard Jalen Suggs was also called up to the select team that will train with the USA men's basketball team ahead of the Paris Olympics.
