The point of the post, of course, is to get Sophie adopted, out of the cage she's been living in for just about a year and into a Central Florida home."Just to showcase that this poor dog has been sitting in a kennel for almost a year, and people just walk by, and sometimes they don't even stop to say hi. They just walk right by her,” Burkett said. So the word is out. Sophie has her paw out to hitch a ride to a fur-ever home.“We're hoping this helps her get adopted, and if she gets adopted, that it brings people in to see other dogs that have been here for an extended period of time,” Burkett said. And as of mid-afternoon, that's the new goal. Someone saw the time-lapse and scurried over to Animal Control to get Sophie.
