Boston's own Dane Cook coming home for weekend shows
Comedian Dane Cook, a Boston native, is pumped to bring his "Perfectly Shattered" tour to a hometown audience this weekend."I'm coming home!" he said. He's scheduled to perform two shows at The Wilbur this weekend and says he's looking forward to that feeling of coming home. "I think the thing that Boston always brings out of you when you come back is that sense of newness. This is where I was brand new. This is where everybody gave me a shot," said Cook. "I'll quite literally look out into the crowd sometimes see people that I haven't seen in a lot of years kinda still rooting you on," he also said. It's been 30 years since Cook did his first open mic night at a club in Cambridge and he said that he wants to "crush" these shows in Boston to conclude his tour, which is named for all the events that seemed like setbacks but actually were part of his path to a good place.
