A significant setback for Web3-supportive brands and creators? On 13 March, Meta announced the shelving of its exploration of NFTs for Instagram after less than 10 months of testing. Billed as a potential pathway towards mainstream NFT adoption, the idea was that Instagram users could create limited-edition NFTs or digital collectibles from their photos and sell them.
