As a tech start-up, wooing big-name fashion clients is no easy feat.
Established brands are increasingly hungry for innovation and tech start-ups are poised to provide it, but as the costs of starting a business have gone down, the level of start-up competition has gone up. Pano Anthos, managing director of New York City retail accelerator XRC Labs, points out that there are now more than 1,800 retail-tech start-ups globally, with 56 per cent of them in the US, according to Venture Scanner.
