Curtain’s closed! Vogue staffers left their Henry James-esque digs at the newly opened Chelsea Townhouse and decamped to Theatre Royal Drury Lane for Vogue World: London. For one night only, ahead of London Fashion Week, the second coming of Vogue World aims to celebrate iconic British creatives from Shakespeare to Stormzy, and secure the future of the UK’s rich cultural scene, with proceeds benefiting performing arts organizations including the National Theatre and Royal Opera House, and many more.

“Heavy Wears the Crown” & Sophie Okonedo’s Custom Vivienne Westwood Gown
Tony Award-winning actor Sophie Okonedo wowed show-goers with a heartful soliloquy from Shakespeare’s Henry IV Part II, at one point sinking to the ground in her hand-painted, custom Vivienne Westwood gown. The dress was inspired by a piece from the brand’s fall 1997 collection, taking notes from Elizabeth I.
