The application for the Manhattan campus for entry in the 2025-26 school year will be available on 1 September 2024 and will be due by 15 November 2024, and the other required application documents should be submitted and the interview (or assessment) held by mid-January 2025.  After 15 November 2024, we will continue to accept applications from UN families, and others relocating internationally. Local New York families are welcome to check with us to see if there are spaces available in specific grades.  

Regarding immediate entry during the school year, UNIS has a few spaces that open up, and local families, as well as families moving to New York, can apply for them. Midyear applications must be received by 1 March 2025, and, if accepted, students must be enrolled and attending classes by 17 March 2025.

In accordance with our mission, children whose parents transfer from abroad to work for the United Nations, Missions to the UN, and Consulates enjoy priority in terms of admission, but admission is not automatic. All children are required to be interviewed (or assessed) so that we can determine whether our program is the right fit for them.
