SBU detains Russian missile strike spotter in Kharkiv

That’s according to the SBU press office, Ukrinform reports.

A 55-year-old local woman who worked as a private security guard turned out to be a Russian accomplice who orchestrated missile and bomb attacks on Kharkiv, the SBU believes.

According to SBU counter-intelligence operatives, the traitor tried to gather and hand over to her Russian handlers sensitive data on Ukraine’s military manpower and equipment clusters across the city. She would also collect updates on the consequences of Russia’s air raids.

In order to obtain intelligence, the suspect would inquire information from other locals under the guise of random small talk.

The culprit would then forward the information received to the Russians via Telegram.

The enemy used that information to prepare strikes on Kharkiv, involving missiles and gliding bombs.

SBU operatives identified the Russian agent and ultimately apprehended her.

The investigation learned that clandestine cooperation with Russian intelligence was initiated by the suspect.

Based on the evidence obtained, the SBU pressed charges against the suspect under Art. 111 Part 2 (treason committed under martial law) and Art. 436-2 Part 1 and Part 3 (justification, recognition as legitimate, or denial of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The perpetrator shall be remanded in custody, the court ruled. She is facing life in prison.

As reported by Ukrinform, the SBU detained an FSB asset and his brother who were plotting a missile attack on the Motor Sich enterprise in Zaporizhzhia region.
