About
The quirky colorful mosaics and undulating curves of Park Güell are a signature of the legendary Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who designed many of the features in this park. Officially opened in 1926 and initially planned as a district for the rich, it is now one of the city's most popular attractions and a great representation of Catalan modernism. The entrance with two fairytale-like houses and the iconic salamander fountain are the most busy. Tickets are required to enter the park.

Address
Neighbourhood: Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.

    Great place
We went in a side entrance, steep stairs going up, took about 10 mins, there was no queue, and everything was downhill from there. Really pleasant walk, lots of shade opportunity, really pretty, and we did this before the Guell cases, so a great intro. We were there for 9.30am, once we got to the main entrance, it got busy. Enjoyed it and glad we went, it was great.

One of Gaudi’s masterpieces great picnic spots.
Stunning park however you need at least half a day to enjoy it at its peak. It would be awesome to pack a picnic basket and enjoy the entire park for a good few hours. We didn’t do enough research and I wish we had known this prior cos we went 2 hours before closing and would have liked more time there. Views are amazing from the monument viewing section. Gaudi was an absolute genius. PS. It’s a steep walk to the top so carry water esp in summer.

Prepare for a hike and beautiful sights
When you go here, prepare like for a small hike, as this place is up on a steep hill and it's a big garden you need time to explore fully. Make sure to grab the map at the entrance. The garden is big and has many sights to see, it is advisable to come here either in the morning or as out of season as you can, otherwise you can't see much of the sights due to tourists. The architecture is impressive and placed perfectly around the park.

    Cool Gaudi Park in Barcelona
Definitely visit here when you are in Barcelona. It's commutable by several bus lines from Placa Catalunya (takes about 30 minutes) and has multiple dwellings and structures created by Gaudi and his architect frient. You need about 90 minutes to see everything inside the park. My one recommendation is that you bring your own snacks and drinks as there are none for sale inside the park.

    worth the visit
you need to book in advance before arriving barcelona so you can be able to find the time and the day your looking for . i recommend to take the 9 am during summer time less crowded and before the heat . you would need at lease an hour and 30 min inside the park . i don't recommend to book a tour . you can just tour it by yourself and you can pick up the map when you enter and you can always google and read before you go

Pretty park but very hot weather and overcrowded!!!
We originally had it scheduled for 4:30 PM, but decided to get in earlier around 11:30 AM and they did let us in. The park is vast and really overcrowded in July. It was a Sunday. It was a very hot day so we try to walk through it really fast. Overall it was very nice to see the statues the bench, the arcs and the mosaics.

    Instagram park
Booked tickets ahead of time for 4pm, they aren't very expensive. We spent about an hour here walking around and enjoying the funky architecture and visiting the main attractions of the park. Quite a way from old Barcelona, so we took a cab to and from for comfort in the heat. Nice to see once, not sure if I would return though. Quite a few tourists taking photos at the instagrammable spots and lines to get into the buildings at the front gate (front gate at the exit was the busiest). The entrance to the park is up the street to the right of the main gate. Main gate is the exit.

    Crowded and busy
To begin with I would like to share that access to the park is kind of difficult as you have to walk from the nearest parking about 8 minutes on inclined road or steps, so by the time you reach you are all sweaty. The crowds are fighting for the best pose/ picture so you can really enjoy the architecture. I paid €13 but I don’t think it was really worth it…

    Nice park, with nice view.
Great park, tickets must be bought in advance. It requires a bit of fitness because there are a lot of height differences. Entrance to the museum is not included in the price of the entrance ticket. Really special architecture and wonderful landscapes. People in moderation because only a certain number of people can enter at a certain hour. The site is on a high hill and it is not worth going there on foot.

    Destroying tires
Great tour, but locals “punched my tire with a knife since our license plate was foreigner plate@ exactly this was the line of the tire shop I used to replace a punched tire. Showed the blade size next to the rim’s outer side. Expensive parking, since I have parked on a residential street legally. €515 for two tires Pirelli P7. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE IN BARCELONA….mean local people…

Very cool to walk through the park and see Gaudi's work. We were there for an hour, arriving at 10:30am. We did not do any guides or audio and that worked for us.

Took my parents this time during their summer vacation, it was not very crowed consider it is the highest travel season of the year. A good choice for afternoon relaxing walk after lunch and really nicely designed park. Guell is a true genueis.

Interesting experience to visit this Parc with lots of Gaudi pieces of art and amazing views of Barcelona. The weather was not very pleasant because of the heat. The parc was crowded and it was hard to take good pictures. Overall, nice experience.

What a unique step into a vision of Guell Park. The tour guide was very fast and harder to keep up with for a senior. He did explain the history of the gardens and the facility. Be prepared to walk as we were all over the place in 45 minutes. The place is awesome to see. There are many Gaudi influences all around the park.

Booked the night before via Trip Advisor “Skip the queue” promotion. Relieved to get in after disappointingly missing out on another visit to La Sagrada Familia. I’m a huge fan of Antoni Gaudi, so it was great to see another of his works. It’s European Summer so it was very crowded, but it was worth it. The tour was very late starting because people arrived late, couldn’t hear through their headphones, had elderly family who couldn’t walk far, and then we waited at the entrance for 15 mins, goodness knows why? It’s called skip the queue! All that aside (it’s a holiday so let’s not get stressed) the tour guide was knowledgeable and helpful. The views from the community space over Barcelona are amazing. Appreciated the lumbar support on the wrap around seating covered with mosaic tiles, thank you Mr Gaudi. Despite this project being an epic fail for Antoni Gaudi at the time, it is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Quite an interesting story. Be prepared for a big walk uphill, it’s quite taxing, especially if it’s hot.

The Parc has a lot of history and information surrounding it. It has spectacular views of the city.

We went on an extremely hot day and unfortunately that over shadowed the experience for us. It’s an uphill walk (20mins from nearest Metro, though there are buses that go right outside). The Parc itself is steep and involves a lot of walking. It was a bit much for our family (kids 6 and 8). In cooler months it’s probably a lovely wander, so perhaps consider skipping this in high summer.

On the plus side there were water fountains so we could refill our water bottles and also splash our faces.

A must see which is obvious from the crowds. Fortunately it’s open and spacious when walking unless you want specific pics like the dragon.
The official website shows a guided tour option but they never seemed to be available. Not wanting to risk being shut out we booked admission only.
It would have probably been more beneficial with a guide but we managed and had researched prior so knew something.
Bring water! It hot and open.
Entering from Camel saved us some uphill walking but there’s still elevation changes to see things.
It’s popular for a reason as it is spectacular to see.
We spent about two hours.

This park is full of quirky and very colourful mosaics and curves, and makes out for stunning views. Buy your tickets beforehand to be sure to get in. Getting there was quite a trickery. We went by metro and walked (or rather, climbed as it was rather steep) for about 20 minutes or so, to get there. Had it been hotter, we'd have flagged down a taxi. However, all worth the effort once inside. We got some refreshments by the park entrance, as we were all thirsty from doing the climb up there. Get a map of the park as soon as you enter, to make the journey even better.

The park has several outdoor mosaics and very characteristic buildings/dwellings, some of which you may enter to see inside. There's a nice walk to be done inside the park, to reach the different areas and buildings - once on the very top - you get an awesome view of the city of Barcelona. I would think you need at a couple of hours, at least, to get through the whole park, with a couple of breaks to see and to enjoy sitting on the very characteristic "benches" all around the upper level.

The park is generally clean and tidy. If you go with kids, I recommend bringing something to eat and drink, and doing a picnic somewhere in the park - as there aren't really any activites besides wandering around to see the park. Also, a visit to the park may leave you with more if you do a guided tour - as the guides will have plenty of information about the different structures and the history of the park.

Consistently ranked among the best places to visit, with stunning scenery but a high volume of visitors.
To make the most of your vacation, it could be wise to go either very early or outside of the busiest travel periods.

Some years ago, the entrance was free off charge. Now they ripp you EUR 10 per person for some Gaudi stuff and the view on Barcelona. As the place is not connected to the public transport, better use a cab. Walking there is a nightmare, as you need to march uphill. In all, a over-rated place and tourist ripp-off.
