Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Spent three nights here. Room small but clean with good shower. No tea and coffee making facilties but a bottle of water each provided daily. Ten minute walk to the square and a deli and supermarket close by. Breakfast was plentiful for appx £8 per person. Only downside is that the hotel does not have a lounge to sit and enjoy a drink only the main restaurant. Staff fiendly and helpful.

We have been stranded in Poland because of the COVID-19 Lockdown. We were ejected from our booked accomodation and in a panic we book direct with ibis to stay here.
And I cannot be positive enough in this review. They have done absolutely everything within their power to support the many tourists who are stuck here.
They have held our room for us while we waited for standby flights, they have printed boarding passes and luggage tags and even provided us with plates and cutlery to use in our room. I cannot believe how amazing and how good in a crisis the staff here are! They are clearly nervous and frightened but they are still supporting every single person here in every way they can.
I wish to make it clear that the staff here work really hard and deserve some great commendation!

Clean, polite and helpful staff, decent breakfast, good central location! Not much to complain about. The staff was always helpful with everything we asked for. Slippers were not present in the room and the room was carpet, so it would be nice to have those present in all rooms for hygeine.

I have stayed at worse three star hotels. Excellent from the time we stepped through the doors. We had standard double which was excellent, a good size, with large shower room, large comfortable bed and adequate storage space for a short stay. Breakfast was superb, so much available. A huge lunch pack provided when we toured Auschwitz, just mention it to the staff and its there to greet you in the morning, free of charge if breakfast is taken. Only 10 minutes to Main market square, and very near transport links, the river and Castle.
Service from all staff from reception to cleaners was top notch. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Absolute value for money

Arrived at the IBIS way before check in time and not only got a room straight away but my request for low floor accommodated too.

Room is your typical IBIS style but very clean and maintained.

The breakfast had huge range partic cold selection

The bit I have rated customer service for are when visiting the thermal baths they gave us towels to take to save snuggling out the room ones

And early flight leaving hotel at 4 they made us a breakfast to take with us if good selection , just order day before

All staff we met were very good and friendly even supplying a plaster for my other halves blistered toe after auschwitz visit - sensible shoes the lesson learnt

About 15 mins walk to main town square

Would def use again

Myself and my partner purchased a deal to krakow for the weekend through a online provider, we read full reviews on this hotel before we went ahead to book we thought all reviews was good I know that you shouldn’t ever make a decision based on reviews and you should always make up your own mind, with this in mind people was saying the breakfast was well worth the 30 odd pln they charge… so me and my partner decided to get the breakfast included in the deal, firstly when we arrived late at night on the 23rd March we got to the hotel around 10:50 ish.. got our room, dropped our bags off and decided to go for a drink in the bar, many people have told me that Poland is pretty good on prices so I didn’t think twice about using the bar in the hotel however when we ordered a double vodka and coke, and a local beer it came to 80 pln which is roughly £15! Now being in the north west of England those prices are London prices ! So we just had the one and went to bed, the bed by the way is rock hard but again we was only staying for 2 nights and wasn’t really fussed on the bed, the problem was the next day at breakfast went down they confirmed our room number and name - went to get a coffee because FYI they DO NOT PROVIDE milk in the room for a coffee… the coffee machine is a typical eu coffee machine - not the best, and the selection on breakfast was extremely poor! See pictures … hot food on offer;
Scrambled eggs,
Hot dogs..,
Hot dog buns &
Pancakes that is it… as for continental stuff it’s the usual eu stuff like salads, fruit, and croissants and rock hard bread for toast, I did think the whole waffle maker was cool, but that’s really doesn’t justify the price of breakfast…

Great location and very nice staff , would definitely use again. Very quiet area and had a great nights sleep, probably 10 mins amble into the old town, great little Indian restaurant just around the corner as well as a few shops very near. A bus will take you right to he Airport terminal for about £1.20. !! Just get out at Jubilat and it’s 1 minute walk to hotel!

Hotel location is near old town area,
you can walk to market within 10-15mins.
The room and toilet is cleaned.
There’s no drinking water for complementary but sparkling water instead.
The staffs are super friendly. I’ll be back next time for sure.

Standard hotel chain fare, clean and quiet, and reasonable rates. Coach parties predominant. Location good for castle and Old Town, within reasonable walking distance.. Twin bedded room was very small with not a lot of room other than the beds, no comfortable seating area. Breakfast was quite good, with a decent range of foods to eat, and good coffee. Staff friendly. Menu at restaurant rather limited. Encountered a problem with an early evening meal when barman indicated a charge for a jug of tap water when other tables laid out for a coach party were so provided. On complaining, I was told this for “gastronomic reasons”. Barman then unilaterally cancelled my meal, and 10 mins later reinstated my order, aggressively and unnecessarily slamming down the cutlery on the table because we had dared to complain. Not nice. Spoilt a good stay.

Also, hotel information does not advise shared facilities with Novotel next door, and we found out late in the day that we could have used the spa/swimming facilities. Reception staff very pleasant but lacking proper knowledge about hotel policies and facilities, which are not displayed on their website either. Needs the presence of someone more senior and experienced who can mentor and support younger staff.

Overall slightly disappointed.

The staff here were nice and the rooms are like any newish Ibis. The location is good too. I just wish more effort had been placed on making sure the guests were following the rules on public health measures. When one checks in these are handed out on a piece of paper so there is no excuse. However, I'd hardly have said many were following them in terms of mask wearing.
