Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In a country famed for its welcome, Cathleen stood out as the friendliest host we encountered on our two week tour. I knocked on the door to enquire about a room, but before I could speak, a hand shot out for a warm handshake, and I was told that we were very welcome. My wife also enjoyed being told how beautiful she is! We were given a pot of tea with cake on arrival. The rooms and en suite are on the small side, the only reason I have not awarded five stars, but everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. The price was very reasonable. A good place to stay if wanting to visit the much more touristy Dingle peninsula.

We came quite lately, there was a free room for three of us. We got warm welcome from beginning, got tea and a cake. Nice rooms, yes they are quite small, but enough to feel comfortable, bathroom was quite small, but handy. Really nice chat with owners and good breakfast. Location is around 15 minutes slow walk from town centre, so its nice quite area, safe and we could even hear the sound of the sea. I will definitely recommend this place for everybody.

The B&B we were meant to be staying in was overbooked as we were attending a wedding afterparty with the huge demand for accommodation. The B&B that was overbooked kindly tried to allocate us elsewhere and contacted this accommodation to which they were told a room was available. My partner & I proceeded to the villa nova where we were not welcomed but quizzed as to where we were from - I proceeded to tell them I was from county limerick and my partner was from Leicester in England. Their face turned when I stated my partner was from the UK, awkward silence ensued and bogus excuse that no accommodation was available thereafter. Small town, small mind syndrome. Please do not line the pockets of these narrow minded people.

Booked double room 3 months ago for June 2018. Got a phone call today cancelling the booking was cancelled as their daughter will be home. Woman that rang didn't listen to me and hung up on the conversation. Absolute joke. A friend's 50th is on so the rest of ballyheigue is booked up that night. Avoid this shower at all costs.

Villa Nova was the first guest house we stopped at. We were greeted by a very charming lady, Kathleen .the proprieter. We were offered tea or coffee and lovely home baking. Our stay was memorable and we found it ideal for touring.. The place was very clean and comfortable and reasonably priced.
