Hotel Brummell is one of the very best boutique hotels that I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. We stayed in the penthouse room 64 and it was fabulous with an outdoor deck and pool overlooking the city. The beds are super comfortable and the sheets are of very high quality all cotton. The pillows are the type of hypo-allergenic so if you like feather pillows you may disappointed with their pillow options though. The Service at the Brummell is beyond! I travel at least 100 days a year for the last 20 years and I typically travel in 4 to 5 star hotels. I prefer boutique hotels for the type of experience that I enjoy most and Hotel Brummell is at the very top of my boutique hotel list!!! If you are a foodie you will love their support and reservation recommendations. I come from the high-end sector of the food industry in the USA and we were never disappointed. Tatiana and the Hotel Brummell team are top notch concierges. The food itself at the Brummell is very good as well and the Brummell team seems to stay right on top of the food scene in Barcelona for it is obvious that those servicing Hotel Brummell have a true authentic love for fine and exceptional food wether it be a casual spot or a tasting menu. The price of food in Spain compared to the USA is quite reasonable and makes for a wonderful place to visit for that reason alone. Of course there are many more reasons to visit Spain - but the food scene has really evolved over the last 2 decades. The Brummell also has a beautiful pool, garden/terraces/decks and restaurant areas. Their address is perfectly located as well for an amazing trip to Barcelona and to be able to explore the city by foot as well when possible. I would not hesitate to book at Hotel Brummell and I don't post reviews very often but Tatiana and the team at Hotel Brummell are above 4 star service!!! Just love the place!!! Hope to go back as well! PS the hanging space for clothes is limited to about 18" just FYI, but the maid service is also exceptional!

I originally booked two weeks at this hotel for a work/vacation trip but loved it so much that I extended for another week.
First of all, the staff is exceptional. Reception staff will greeted me with an infectious smile and good energy everyday and went above and beyond to accommodate some of my requests and to make the hotel feel like home. The housekeeping staff were equally as friendly and helpful, and did an excellent job cleaning and prepping my room everyday in an efficient manner.
The property itself is wonderful. I felt very much at home for the last few weeks and was able to enjoy the various indoor and outdoor spaces for work and leisure. The hotel is meticulous in ensuring the space is well organized, welcoming and inviting. The honesty bar is a nice touch and the delicious Palo Cortao restaurant was also a great addition to the property. The terrace space is simply sublime and it is great for relaxing and taking a breather or socialising with friends. I can’t fault it. Don’t forget to say hello to the surrounding neighbours :)
I couldn’t have asked for a better residence these past few weeks. It is rare to find a property that has such defining soul and character to match the aesthetically well thought of interior and exterior design. The spaces are very functional but equally playful and comfortable. A rare triple threat. What’s more, the hotel seems to take care of its staff very well and engages the vibrant and eclectic community it is in.
If you want to feel like a local and ‘at home’ during your stay in Barcelona then I can’t recommend Hotel Brummel enough. I’ve visited Barcelona many times and know the city well, and I am glad that I can still find rare gems like this during my stay in the city.

Lovely little boutique hotel. We had the penthouse , the room was tiny but had a massive balcony with outdoor jacuzzi and gorgeous views to wake up to. Well designed little bathroom and some of the best room cleaning service with real consideration and care to our possessions. Quite a cute , quirky little place, you have an honesty table to help yourself to snacks and drinks after hours instead of room service which I liked and free onsite yoga for guests. Great cafe across the road for brekky. Rusted iron meant a new white shirt had to be thrown away however they did offer to pay for dry cleaning, which as the shirt was scorched we agreed free breakfast was better. Would return.

Very pleasant boutique hotel in Poble Sec. The hotel is close to the Metro Parallel and Montjuïc Park. This is a neighbourhood of Barcelona where people actually live. It is not a very posh and rather quiet neighbourhood, at least at the time we were there (March). There is a street with tapas bars, ice cream parlours and a churreria very close by where the neighbours meet in the evening.
The reception at the hotel was very welcoming. The staff are very friendly and dedicated. They really seem to enjoy working at the Hotel Brummell.
The design of the entrance area is appealing. There is a shop area with Barcelona design objects. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar, but they are not open every day. The restaurant has a modern design and the bar is cosy. The restaurant was well frequented by locals. There is a small outdoor pool on the first floor with terrace, which we unfortunately could not use as the weather was a bit rainy. The rooms themselves are ok, nicely designed but nothing extraordinary. We had a mountain view and overlooked the green Montjuic, which is probably exceptional for Barcelona. The breakfast served has its price - 16€ per person - but it is nicely presented and has a nice etagere with lots of things to try and taste. However, it's not something for every morning. A bit more choice would be desirable. In summary, Hotel Brummell was the perfect place for a long weekend. We would book it again on our next visit to Barcelona.

I chose Hotel Brummell because of its excellent reviews and recommended by local friends, and I was not disappointed. I stayed for two nights with my team during our team building event in Barcelona and we were all pleased with the services of the hotel and rooms. Amazing breakfast and highly recommend trying The Garage studio next door for a yoga class! We also booked the bar to held our meetings and the space worked out perfectly. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at the Brummell, a lovely quiet boutique spot out of the city centre but only a few minutes from the subway. Our room was spacious, quiet and light and the bed was super comfy! The breakfast was delicious and we took a free yoga class and used the lovely sauna as well. Even the housekeeping was done with love! We especially appreciated the daily recommendation leaflet and the honesty bar. The staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort and offered personal recommendations as well. An LGBT-friendly and family-friendly hotel. Gracias Brummell!

I intended to stay 2 nights in this hotel, but I could not because of the last-minute cancellation of my plane. I proposed the staff to charge the full amount of the reservation against a voucher for 2 nights, but they just refused and charged me the price of 1 night. I hope this experience will prevent other travelers from choosing this type of mindset.

Hotel Brummell is a real oasis and made my trip to Barcelona so memorable. Everything feels really genuine. The staff (above all Karl, but really every single member) is so thoughtful and does an excellent job at making you feel welcome and enjoying your stay. It was my mum's birthday and they even prepared a little surprise.
The overall concept of the hotel is fantastic - great design, excellent breakfast, the option to attend free yoga classes or relax at the sauna, good music selection, daily well selected tips on what to do in Barcelona. The location is also perfect - Poblenou is a small neighborhood with plenty of nice food options and real charm. Perfect home away from home! Thanks for everything :)

I had a great ten-day stay at the small and specialized Hotel Brummell in Barcelona, right on the foothills of Montjuic in the Poblo Sec neighborhood. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating, and the premises - with its design, swimming pool, sauna, and the top floor room - were excellent. So is the breakfast and yoga, which you can do next door in the studio next door. This has been a challenging time for Barcelona, but the hotel staff went out of their way to make guests feel special. I thoroughly recommend this neighborhood gem, and will be visiting again soon.

We usually stay in another area of Barcelona and decided to venture out. Best decision we made. Loved the location of Hotel Brummell as the area had more of a neighborhood feel instead of being overrun by tourists. The hotel is beautifully designed as are the rooms. We had a Mountain View room and were concerned that it would be noisy as it faced a school but it was very quiet. Fun touches throughout the rooms, such as yoga mats, easy coffee service to get you started in the morning, refreshing full-sized bath products and cozy sheets. Be sure to check out the fun vending machine outside your room for tasty late night treats.
