The hotel is in a good location and a few minutes walk from Las Ramblas. The hotel itself is basic but comfortable. However the rooms could do with being cleaned more thoroughly as when I opened the wardrobe loads of dust fell down and the counter tops were also very dusty. There Is a kettle in the room and a few teabags but no milk or coffee so pretty useless. Water is available in the mini fridge at a cost.
Breakfast was good with a wide selection of food catering for most tastes.

I booked this hotel through my travel agent and based on price. to be in the area to board our cruise ship. When we arrived the hotel was good. The comment from the taxi driver was... the area is good during the day but do not go out too much at night.
we found the hotel actually very nice and the continental breakfast was good too. It was in a central location so it was within walking distance to a lot of places we wanted to see and if we wanted to get a taxi they were always around to catch a ride.
At night outside of the hotel there was quite a few drunks and people just sitting around. but nothing too bad like the taxi driver claimed. ( I have been to a lot worse areas in the past)
I would recommend this hotel for your short stay if your catching a cruise. Just be street wise in this area.

We arrived early and they were able and willing to let us into our room, which was very much appreciated. Our room was on the first floor, it was a good sized room . The bathroom was excellent with hair dryer , magnified mirror, which my wife found very handy, a bath which is always welcome and very nicely appointed. The only downside to the room is the flooring, it is first generation laminate, worn , chipped and I'll fitted, if this was changed it would improve the room immensely.
The staff were very nice especially Sergi, he was so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much, a real asset for the hotel! The hotel is just a ten minute walk from the Ramblas, so it's in a very good position.
The only downside to our trip was the Raval area. I have always felt comfortable when we have stayed in Barcelona but I have to admit I felt a little nervous at night, I was propositioned by a girl and saw intravenous drug taking in broad daylight.
Having said this, the hotel was a real find, very reasonably priced, very comfortable just a bit of a pity about the area but I would stay there again.

The hotel room was extremely clean and comfortable and the hotel staff went out of their way to be helpful.
The location of the hotel (El Raval) was not particularly nice - lots of homeless people and drug users nearby. I did not feel safe walking around the area with my wife and son. We was warned by a taxi driver and also the hotel staff of pickpockets and muggings outside the hotel.
This was our third time visiting Barcelona and have never felt unsafe previously.

It’s a very well suited hotel close to the most attractions of Barcelona. Hotel is small and cozy . Perfect for a short stay. Hotel stuff is very friendly and customer oriented, make you feel very welcome. The Raval area might be some evenings/ nights very busy and noisy but for the rest is very quite area. I’ve read some comments that the area is not really safe, but we didn’t experience any odd situation. I will highly recommend this hotel to everyone because of the quality, price and location.Special thanks to Sergi for his kindness!

The hotel is located in an older part of town that did not feel the safest. After check in, the clerk said our 4th floor room was not accessible by the elevator due to some renovations. He kindly took us to a service elevator. This elevator was in rough shape, but we thought ok , it’s a service elevator, no big deal. When we got off the elevator, we stepped into a complete construction job! Black plastic, construction workers, sawing, etc. I asked in Spanish if this was the 4th floor?! They answered in Spanish yes, to proceed down the hall but to watch out for the iron pipes and tools. They were laughing heartily at our shocked expressions as we reached our room. Our room was nice, I guess it had just been renovated. But the shock of the construction and elevator condition were certainly unexpected. We made our tour of the Sagrada Familia and called it an early night, not wanting to be out after dark in the area of our hotel. A warning about being under construction, especially right there beside your room, would have been nice to know.

We brought our grandson here for his first trip abroad. We had excellent service through our stay, the reception staff were really helpful, advised us where to go and how to make savings along the way. The room was clean and had all the toiletries you could possibly need for a great break. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice and you certainly couldn’t go hungry. Everything you could want was just a short walk away or short bus ride away. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely 3 star hotel in central Barcelona which was perfect for our short city holiday. The Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the main Las Rambles area and 15 minutes from Airport bus stop.
The staff were very friendly and helpful making our stay enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and very clean .
We bought breakfast on one of the mornings and we were not disappointed. Buffet style with lots of choice to a high standard.

This review should not detract from the hotel and its staff. The place is really nice and clean the rooms are just what you need for a few days away.
The issue I have is with the hotels location. The area is described as up and coming and there are some signs that investment has started. The Barcelo hotel across the street is amazing and there a several really nice places to eat out. However walking around especially at night the place has a very intimidating atmosphere. I came here with my wife and 15 year old daughter who were both subjected to intimidating comments as we walked through the streets to get to La Rambla by men who hang around streets with apparently nothing else to do. I challenged more than one of the men and soon found out that I was in the minority when it came to treating women with respect.
I have to say that non of these men were Spanish. We have visited other cities in Spain and never had anything like this before.

thank you for your question. The metro line from the airport is L9 (orange line). The easiest way to change to L3 (green line) is to get to the very last stop of L9 (Zona universitaria) and change there to the L3. Other connections are possible but you should change more than 2 lines. You can also check metro network in tmb.cat web page.
