Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our three night stay was excellent. We booked two rooms. Both were very clean, modern and spacious. We hadn’t realised that they came with kitchens and dining areas. One of the rooms had a dividing door to separate the bedroom/bathroom area from the rest of ‘the apartment’. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Bathrooms were a good size; one with a bath and shower, the other with a walk in shower (room for two!) Room temperature good and adjustable.

Breakfast was delicious. A buffet style set up to include a choice of hot (bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, tomatoes etc.) and cold food (meats, cheese, bread, cereals, croissants, cakes, yogurt etc.)

The hotel staff were welcoming, polite and easy to deal with. We did have a problem in one of our rooms with the loo roll dispenser not working (3 times!) which was resolved
immediately with a call to reception. Many thanks to all the staff for making our stay very enjoyable.

Location good: Metro (Les Corts) is around a four minute walk away with only 8 to 10 stops to the centre of Barcelona, depending on where we wanted to be. The hotel neighbourhood itself had many places to eat and drink. We found a lively town square with four or five quality tapas type bars only a few minutes walk away where we could have spent an evening. Being the financial district it caters for a certain type of clientele whilst remaining informal, welcoming and less expensive than the town centre.

Barcelona, even in February, is one of the best cities we have visited. With only a three day stay we couldn’t do it all and hopefully will return, booking again into Atenea Barcelona Aparthotel.

We stayed 9 days here, from the moment we arrived we were treated really well. We were impressed by how modern everything looked and were even more impressed with our room. Our room had a private bathroom with a small little kitchen. Any questions we would have they would help us. On our check out day, our flight was at 5:30 pm so we were worried abt having to go so early to the airport or having to carry suitcases all around Spain. The people at the lounge kindly told us they could take care of our bags while we still enjoyed Barcelona for a few hours. They would also call cabs for us whenever we would ask. Will def be coming here again. We stayed here because we were going to football games but def a bit further from the touristy” parts of Barcelona which i saw someone complain abt in another other review. The train is about 3 min away from the hotel, perfect to save money if you don’t want to take cabs or Ubers :)

We had such a great stay here. The aircon was fabulous (both our room and reception) the staff were wonderful (especially the restaurant staff!) And the room was very clean, and cleaned daily. The food was a great quality but not much variation, but still very acceptable and well presented. We slept very well and never disturbed by any noise. The lobby was gorgeous! We loved our bathroom, modern and new.
The hotel is so close to the metro which was great for getting around the city. The reception staff were very helpful with directions and advice for our day trips and kindly advised us about pickpockets.
Overall we are so satisfied with our stay, grear value for money and a classy hotel!

I don't usually write reviews and I have been travelling all over the world for decades.
The most important thing I put in value whenever I book a hotel, apart from usual features such as location, its services an so on, is the treat I receive from their staff in case an issue comes up.

First of all, when I reached the room there was a disgusting smell of fish coming out from the small kitchen in the room. I reported it but nothing happened.
Secondly, when we left the room unfortunately we forget some personal stuff, when you realized it, right after we called them and basically they stated that they opened our big toilet bag and decided that our stuff was not valuable and they threw it away...Either they did so or not...with due respect this is not what I expect from a four start hotel. Moreover, when we asked them why, they hung up on the phone.

Finally, please note that the location is not the best, every time you want to reach the city centre you will probably have to take a taxi and pay no less than 15€, better to spend that money in booking another better hotel in a different location.

Regards
Ernesto

This property is great esp for families or if you want a full kitchen and appliances. The room was clean and room service and cleaning are provided. It’s a 4 min walk to the closest metro and there is a taxi stop up the street. It is not walkable to any of the major attractions (ie Sagrada, La Pedrera, etc) but it is close to some shopping areas and the soccer stadium. There are a few restaurants around and a grocery store around the corner which was very convinient. The staff was ok, they were quick and answered all our questions.

The Aparthotel was clean, spacious & good value for money. The district is quiet, so sleeping was great.
Some of reception staff were a bit rude & abrupt.
When we revisit Barcelona, we would stay here again as the nearest metro station is within 5 minutes walk.

Had a 3 night stay 1/4/24- 4/4/24.The receptionist who checked us in was very polite, professional and helpful. Rooms were big & spacious, cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The metro station is a 5 minute walk, plenty of cafes, shops and the Nou Camp Stadium all within a 5/10 minute walk. Only 1 negative point is that on Wednesday night (3/4/24) we went to the reception, spoke to a gentleman and requested an early morning alarm call. For we had an airport transfer booked. However we didn't receive the early morning alarm call.Thankfully we made our transfer.

Very average hotel. Breakfast was acceptable, room was clean, but this hotel is not in the best area. Lots of noise inside and outside the building at night, with kids running up and down corridors and slamming doors at midnight.

Stayed here along with five friends and can throughly recommend to small groups or couples looking for a budget priced, but perfectly adequate hotel in Barcelona. We booked the hotel using Last Minute (very reasonable) and were allocated rooms on the 6th and 7th floors. Both rooms were very clean and well presented, each complete with a small kitchen area, bathroom amenities, decent floorspace (complete with a moveable divider to create a separate sleeping area) and a cracking power shower! Breakfast was a mixed affair due to the large number of people stopping during the Easter period, but plenty of hot and cold food was available and the staff were friendly and accomodating.

The hotel is located close to the Barcelona football ground and the nearest Metro stop (Maria Cristina - Green Line 3) is situated just 300m away, so it's ideal as a base for exploring the city.

A couple of restaurants and bars can be found within 2mins walk should you wish to remain close by, but with the superb Metro links, its better to simply hop on the train and head into the more central parts of the city. Be sure to buy a "T10" Metro ticket, only 6.65 euro, which provides 10 journeys and can be passed from person to person. With each individual journey costing around 2 euro, this represents great value for money.

All in all, Barcelona is a great place to go whether you are travelling alone, with friends/partner or even on business and this hotel provides a great value, comfortable and ideally situated base for enjoying the delights of this cultural, yet modern, and tourist friendly city...enjoy!

We stayed at the atenea aparthotel for 4 nights in March and got a great price from lastminute I can thoroughly recommend this hotel, it is near to the centre - we took the tourism buses which you can hop on and off of, and there is a stop within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is lovely and clean, with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was great, with a fantastic selection - cooked breakfast, fruit, cakes, cheeses, ham, crossiants etc etc. Our triple room was large and also had a sliding door to seperate one of the beds. It was also very clean and well maintained. Looking at the prices for other hotels in Barcelona this is an absolute bargain for such a great hotel!
